Oh well nevermind! It is better than nothing to caught
you witness the fish That give you all the exciting hyper. Better luck next time It is nice day out
Went to spot X bang on turn of tide this morning and fished for an hour without a touch........no pickers.nothing! Moved to spot Y for an hour.......exactly the same Moved to the bridge and had an hour there.......nothing!
Decided to move towards the mouth to a spot that had produced lizards previously and copped for 5 stingies and 2 catties within an hour. Also pulled 3 undersize chopper fished midwater under a float. It was blowing nigh on 20 and despite using two anchors still a bit uncomfortable. Just one more cast and I'm on..good bite but came in like a lead baloon. my heart was in my mouth when I saw it......what looked like my PB lizard going an easy 70.......shake of the head as I lowered the net and she was gone!
Still, a nice day out with the deckie and that's good enough for me.
Bait was pilly and fresh herring and all fish fell to herring

Kev I know it wasn't all bad. You were out on the water and you had good company. Sometimes catching fish is only the icing on the perfect cake. Things could always be worse. You could be boatless like me and too busy with work to wet a line. And even then things could be worse. I could be unemployed and too poor to own fishing gear. Always a better way to look at things.

He who aims at nothing is sure to hit it.
OR... unemployed with a boat and not enough money to fill the damn thing with fuel... Yep could always be worse.
Hey Droo - thats why its called a sickie Australia's favourite pastime Actually what you have to ask for is compassionate leave, I'm sure the boss will understand once he heres that you havent been fishing for at least two weeks (or if you're T1 40 days ) he'll probably chip in for the petrol money
Good report Kev, good to hear there's a few big lizards down the bottom of the pine.
At least you didn't catch toadfish or eels!
this sounds like some of my trips #
nothing worse than a BP getting away > then not landing any good fish at all
but its still better than being at work
