G'day
this week my wife and i went for a trip to the whitsundays for a week as you would know the wind blew 40 a.. holes i started to wonder if i dragged the boat 1200 ks for nothing . after 3 days of wind and rain we got out for a fish around pioneer point . had to stick close to the rocks it was windy and rough ,we were dragging lures around and got alot of little cod .
in the little bay we were in , some mackerel showed up the mrs manged to land 1 don't know what sort of macherel it was
so it went back .
proserpine river
got to the conway road boat ramp at 0930 and there was 6 boats waiting to get in the water it is a single lane ramp it was the same to get out but you had to wait in the middle of river because it is just a ramp through the mangroves . anyway back to fishing
had a go with lures not a sniff , the Mrs spotted a guy get a barra on a live bait then i hear lets do that , i found a likely spot I'd never fished for barra before it was a big tree laying in the river . i told her to cast that way she didn't and she did the apposite she was a bit like a little kid wouldn't leave the bait out there . then know sooner the bait hit the water a barra was on she landed it , it went 61 cm quick photo and it went back the first barra had to go back . the next cast her bait got smashed again but nohook up she said that was bigger , she got some more hits after that still know hook ups , me not a sniff
that's it for fishing
put the boat back on the trailer i always look at trailer to make sure that the wheels and winch is still there ,
we get back to the house to unhook the trailer and noticed the safety chain over the hand brake with the d shackle on the ute
but my chain is a bit short and i use 3 shackles on my trailer and some monkey decided he needed them more then i did.
THANKS MATE YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE
