Happy Birthday.
Well done with the squire. They would have made a nice meal.
Remember this: It's best to celebrate every birthday as it's better to get a year older, than not to.
Cheers mate, Brad.
Another great report Charleville, I can relate to a lot of what you said. Me thinks I too fit well into the GOM category even if my age doesn't quite qualify me yet.Solo night fishing is my top pick as well.
Another year older? as if we need reminding
Happy Birthday Charleville
Mate, for next year, I suggest you buy a boat big enough to have a party on! Then, you can have your cake and fish too!

:-)
Looking forward to your next novel! ;-)
Bloody good read as usual Bruce. Happy belated birthday mate.

Hi Charleville,
Mate, I have to say this.......
I've spent most of this year travelling overseas for work and use this web site to help stay in touch with my aussie-ness.
I really look forward to reading your reports because they are so descriptive and reflect, not only the "dry" statistics of where and what, but give an insight into your thoughts and feelings. I always have a good chuckle, or sit there nodding my head in agreement with your candid views on life in general.....
So, I can be sitting there, in my apartment in India or Vietnam or wherever and almost feel like I'm on board with you back home on the Bay...
Have you ever considered penning a novel?
Your writing style is very reminiscent of the style of John O'Grady (aka Nini Culotta) who wrote "They're a Weird Mob" and "Gone Fishin" (the book that got me started fishing as a young fella in the sixties).
Mate - keep up the tremendous reports they make my day!!!
Wow! Thanks for the compliment, Beggsy!Originally Posted by Beggsy

...but you have started me thinking... Many thanks for that.
Also, many thanks to everyone else for the nice responses. Thanks guys.
happy birthday Bruce, and a nice feed of squire.
