moreton palagic weekend

HELLO ALL.....
had a great weekend which started on friday afternoon as we headed across the wind swept,swell driven bay in search of the shelterd shores of western moreton.absolutely saturated by the time we got there(well suze was....i hide behind the console ) greeting us was some large flocks of birds going crazy.....the sun was going down,no time to fish,had to get to comoyuro pt to set up camp!so out went the lines!!!....might just have a quick troll...within seconds the reel was screaming 5 minutes later on board was a mac tuna about 5kg....bloody hell they go! we fished early at western rocks not getting anything worth keeping off the bottom but picked up a ripper schoolie of the top.that afternoon we headed back for a troll down to where the birds had been working and straight away it was on.the session just didnt want to end....we lost count of maceral that we released caught some more very large mack tuna....we ended up leaving them at dark still in frenzy mode....we kept 5 macarel and 1 tuna....along with us was our good mate and fellow ausfisher wags who took home 4 nice macarel aswell......love these pelagics!!!!!!!!

sounds like a great weekend , fantastic to getaway camping and score a few fish on a weekend like we just had.

Some nice fish there guys.Pity they didn't venture a bit futher south on Sat as they would have made my trip a bit more of a success.
