Mate tosses his second rod in, whiting hook again, and his first one goes off. A bit of zzzzzz and a few grunts later there is a 38cm sweetlip in the net. What the.. Just get the fish off and his second rod goes zzzz zzzzz zzzz. More grunting .Another sweetlip, 46 cm.
Another hour of all sorts of rigs and baits and plastic produced small squire, small sweetlip, small moses. Everything was small. Except the chop. Time to go.
Took a run up Tingalpa creek for some jacks but nothing was doing. It was about then that we noticed a fair bit of water in the back of the boat. The fuel tanks were floating . Back to the ramp about 5pm.
