    Peel Island Weekend

    G'day Ausfishers!
Well I went to Peel on the weekend with the "Friends of Peel Island" to work on the old Lazeret site, and as a last moment decision threw in a rod and some plastics. After a long day of work we headed down to Horseshoe bay for a well earned drink and to watch the sunset. I rigged up my rod with a 3" Gulp Pumpkinseed and had a bit of a flick. Fourth cast and I was on to a 35cm bartail flathead. This is the first fish I have caught on plastics, and now I know that they work, I am beginning to sway toward the dark side! After showing the rest of the group I let the little fella go to fight another day.
    Cheers!

    G'day SharkBait!

You have a keen eye indeed! Had to have the beer in my pocket as I needed both hands for fishing! What a great afternoon it was.

    Cheers,
