    Re: this morning

It happens all the time. We put zip ties on our pots the last time we went and the tossers cut the net to get the crabs out and they took the bait and all >

    Cheers Brett

    Re: this morning

Mate I so want to set a bomb up in a crab pot to rid these monrels from our existence. Can imagine sitting back fishing and hearing that KABOOOOM I have given up on crab pots. They just kept vanishing so I don't bother with them anymore. I do know a great way of catching them without a pot so if I ever feel like a feed I use my alternative method. Good to see the young fella in on it and he was nice enough to turn one of them around to confirm to us you aren't keeping Jennies.
    Well done,

    Poodroo

P.S. Food for thought, mines with a crab pot float tied to them? Nah just kidding guys. Don't want to be putting ideas into anyone's heads on how to catch pot thieves.

He who aims at nothing is sure to hit it.

Love the look of the young fella "Hurry up and take the pic" holding at max arm length - been there done that - I for one can never get a hold of the muddies and am in awe of blokes who tie them up so easily!
You say fish, I say yes please.

    Re: this morning

have seen pros who put razor blades in between the twines on their rope, as well as the bottom of their floats.

They are really a soft bunch though. They just talk tough.

I watched a pro run over my floats one day out near the Amity banks. I was fishing about 500m away, and thought he was close, but not that close.

i went to check them pretty much straight away and lucky i did. I uses old oil containers and 3/4 had been cut by the prop and were taking water, but still afloat. phew. >

I obligingly removed 2 of his pots after that. @sshole
Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. But ,flogging him into submission will result in him taking up crabbing.... and once he gets a taste of that sh*t, well, he may never return again.

    Hi,
Good on your son for being brave to hold rope of those beautiful mud crabs, it must be lovely taste to eat.

    > B*#@*%d to those people who steals the crabpot.
It better next time when drop those into water, it better for your boat to be nearby
so you can easily keep eyes on those crabpots which you'll get more crabs next time which your children will be more happy to have plenty of crabs to eat.
    Happy life of fishing,
