The fact you had to drive for such a long way spells dedication to me, and you are rewarded for your efforts as a result. You deserved to catch fish with that sort of dedication. You should have had a radio on 27Mhz, channel 91 and heard a few Ausfishers having a chat. Make sure you look us up next time you look at the going fishing section

Poodroo, The Voodoo was the curse of the grinner King >the grinners only made a once only appearance. I think was due to our change of tactics to plastics and metal only. No Bait.
It may be a big trip up to the bay from pottsville but our little creek has one boat ramp with 30 feet of exposed mudflat in front of it from about mid tide. the creek as a whole is very shallow, average about 3ft deep generally. hastings point (nth of pottsville) has no concrete ramp...just sand and while it is quite deep at this spot.......the rest is about 3 ft deep. Kingscliff to the nth has...........same thing really. pretty much our only viable fishing estuary is the tweed river or out to sea, but the missus has trouble maintaining breakfast in the correct position (inside, not floating away) which makes the outside option less than desirable for the other half of the team. The only thing we have down here is lots of beach. which would be good if the surf was any good, but of late i've done a fair bit of fishing
