Has anyone done any good recently on the likes of Trevally in the Raby Bay canals? Have heard of a lot down the Gold Coast canals lately but not much up here yet. Need to target them for a university study on fish optics.

We tried to fish off a platform on one of the Raby Bay Canals the night before. We saw fish jump out of water left right and centre, but nothing touched our bait (prawns) or any of our SPs.
Could be our skills though. To be honest, I've never caught anything on SPs except for a toad fish, and nothing much on bait except some undersize fish, and a few just over legal limit bream.
You will most likely do much better
I need to study them for dietry intake studies.
Will save the eyes for you.

I have fished those canals 4-5 times and gave up on it. Never seem to have much luck aside from the odd bream. I find the GC canals to be much better.
