When I worked out of Tweed heads on a charter boat I'd keep all the gut and gill to feed the bream back at the wharf.each day they would hear the boat and come out,over would go the gut& gill and it would be a frenzy.I know water magnifies them but there would be some big buggers hanging back we estimated to be arond 50-60 cm.people would always try to fish for them with no luck.I suppose that's how they got so large ,by not being stupid.
