Re: Meet and Greet at Bli Bli

We had a good turnout with about 30 people there at some stage or another. A big thankyou to Nick(the owner) for opening early for us.

Unforntunately the fish did not fully co-operate, but we still managed to land a few.

Good to put some faces to names. I must say that all the Ausfishers I have met so far are really great people.

Look forward to catching up with some of you soon.

    Hey guys
I wish I knew about the meet and greet I would have been there!
It looked like a great day aswell.

I've been there a few times and generally havn't caught many fish there, the ones I have tho have been decent size!

    Thanks

darrmun - Amanda does alot for me so i choose to help her with the housework

timor 2 - It was $35 each to fish for the day (ausfish discount) and if you wanted to take a barra home for dinner it was $18 per kg,and yes you can use your own gear

masterdusky - yes mate amanda and i used our own gear

foggy - those plastic barra put up a good fight

I forgot to mention..I also hooked up on some fellas straw hat that blew in the water

    cheers tim

Was a great day!! glad to see that most people got a couple of fish

I have to thank Foggy for organising this and being a great host and getting around to all Ausfishers that were spread out around the park!! You did well mate Was good having a chat with you about the park and fishing in general

Was great to meet a lot of New Ausfishers and catch up with some others that I haven't seen for awhile Tim that sore on your back didn't seam to slow you down mate hope its still holding together!!!

Was great to see the kids get into some fish too!! (even if it was with a little help) there's nothing better than watching a youngster struggling to land a fish with a HUGE smile on there face

Next time I think an arvo session would be better, getting up at 2:30am to get there at 4am was a bit much and I am paying for it this morning I knew I shouldn't have fallen asleep on the couch sunday arvo!!

No Pics from me but I know there are a few more floating around

    Cheers

Looks like everyone had fun wish I could`ve made it but had to work.I live close by and fish there regularly and find Hardy Heads to be the best bait in the big boys pond.Poppers in the arvo go off and really get the heart pumping.Hopefully next time I don`t have to work!!!!!!!!

    Cheers

You dont need lead to cast the pallets out, as soon as they sink you are no chance of catching one. Small fly hooks and cast with the wind is the best option if using pallets
