fished redcliffe jetty from 4:30 this morning!! with not much action!!
very small schools of hardy heads were hanging around, but were rather relaxed which wasnt a good sign!!unfortunately theres an awful lot of that stinky algae hanging around redcliffe at the moment so i couldnt even get a sniff on lures or bait! (can usually catch a few bream for kicks!!
eventually managed a miniture flathead!!
then at 5:30 my unweighted pilly which id cast out near the end of the break wall got smashed and 30lb braid disappeared at an alarming rate!! woooo hoooo!! this is what i came for!! picked up the rod, set the hook then after a few more metres PING !! daaaaammm!!
without doubt the biggest fish ive hooked at redcliffe!! but will never know what it was!! im guessing either mackrel (ive caught them off there before) or a small shark!!
