    One Happy Camper!

I now fully have faith in SP's!!

Went down to Sundale Bridge on the turn of the tide tonight (Just on dusk) - 3 casts in and BANG!! Sensational 40cm+ flatty (Let me tell you I was EXCITED!!)....Not only had I broken my SP virginity, but also broke in my new Rod + Reel!!

Next cast - And another hit!!(Unfortunately lost this one) - I'm thinking Damn these things are effective!!

The last hit destroyed the 3" minnow....so popped another on - 2 casts later and I'm on again!! Land another ~40cm flatty!!

Got another 3 big hits with no returns, decided to call it a night and went home to a lovely dinner of flathead!

Only used the Berkley gulp 3" Minnow in pumpkinseed.

Still got the smile on my face!

Well done, pumpkinseed seems to be a successful colour to use
I think I'll put that one down on my shopping list.I've used the 3inch minnow in purple on schoolies with limited success, ie hooks havn't set properly they have extremely hard mouths, but have found new jig heads
with 3o hooks only to have them strike and take off the tails and miss the hooks.I guess i'll get lucky one day. [smiley=beer.gif]

Well done. I know the pumpkinseeds are a firm favourite of the Snapper as well. Flathead seem to love them.

Everybody says pumpkinseed is deadly to almost every fish especially flathead...

    Well done mate...

The Atomic 3" fat grubs in "Appleseed" are also deadly on the flatties, and most other species.......

Top stuff! Your report has inspired me to try SPs again on Sunday. I haven't had too much success with SPs but then again I haven't really given them a fair go.

    cheers

Definitely give them another go mate(And leave all you bait at home!) - Persistence pays!

I'm by no means an expert, but I really slowed my retrieves down on Tues night......made a huge difference!
