    Nerang River..   08/01/07

Fished the canals on the Nerang River today for a total catch of 20-25 bream, 11 flathead, 4 whiting and a flounder. Only 6 of the bream were over 23cm fork length with the biggest only going 28cm, only 3 of the flathead made it over leagal size, with 45cm being the biggest and all 4 whiting being under sized. All of the fish were caught on plastics or hard body lures, with most of the fish (including the whiting), caught on hard bodies. Started fishing at 5am and was back at the ramp at midday.
    Cheers Ian

Doesn't look good for the Summer Series bream comp if the fish are all small. You going to fish it again Ian?
