    Moreton Bay macks

This may be repeat as I lost the post
Anyway went out into the bay today and ended up near the sandhills on Moreton. Weather was great just a slight wind. There was plenty of activity around but the spotties were pretty shy. Ended with two in the boat. Daughter x1 95cm on a pillie, son x1 85cm on a raider slug. Made them pretty happy about getting up at 5:00 am, Cheers MON.

    hi michael g,

good to see you did not go home empty handed. i did not get any more after you left. they went quiet but were still there. what size were the ones at mud. i went for a look on way back but could not see anything (about 1230). am watching weather for a chance again. tru deep diving hard bodies over at sand hills, might work.

    SNAFU.

    Re: Moreton Bay macks

Well done guys, quality Spotts for sure.

Came up past the sand hills around 11am yesterday. Saw no boats, birds or fish
Had a few casts at the 4 beacons for zip then headed back south to the Rous and Rainbow channels where we donged a feed of Schoolies and a Mack Tuna for Crab Bait..
Saw a school of Huge Spotts follow a bait ball under the boat, my eyes nearly fell out of my head. Threw a range of slugs at them for no hook-ups.
A few other boats were also on them and did see a couple get boated.
Plenty of bait and birds, the area was alive !!

Saw plenty of people trolling and suspect that may have been more effective than the slugs we were tossing ???

    Cheers

    Craigie.

Weather is looking good for Sunday to charge out there again.

Thought you may of come up. I must've just missed you (kids had had enough), by that time there wasn't many boats.

SNAFU- mine went 78 & 82cm. I reckon the size was bigger on Sunday for sure
