I don't care if they are 40inch wheels, they look bloody strange, totally out of proportion. But hey its not my rig so who cares. There's a bloke who is often at the jetski shop next to my workshop, who has a new turbo diesel 100 series cruiser that has been lowered and runs 21inch rims with super low profile road tyres on it. Let me tell you it looks strange too.

I'd say hes trying to copy the USA suv look you see in the film clips.
the states has some top looking trucks and suv's.
