broken axle retainer bolts

any one got any ideas why i have broken 4 out of 6 axle retaining bolts on the rear drivers side axle of my landcruiser 96model and i have just replaced them as much as a !@#$ of a job it was and is there some underlying problem that has caused this to happen

they have always been a problem only need to be slightly loose and they chew them off . you must locktite them and make sure there nice and tight. had cruisers for years and always a problem. did the front pads on the 100 series on sat and they were loose on there and i meen loose they were just about ready to fall off. and toyota checked it all on the last of the service warrrenty idont think so.
