2000 NISSAN PATHFINDER Ti
Ey Guys
Re-assessing my options at the moment for a 4wd and im thinking i'll be putting more money into the purchase of a new boat over the tow vehicle. I was wondering if anyone here has one of these and has done any towing with them? They're specifications state they're rated to 2 tonne for towing and the boats im looking at will come in just under 2 tonne fully loaded. Will they be up to the task??
I'm not concerned about offroad work as it will mostly be used for day to day driving with a bit of weekend towing to the ramp and back
Cheers
Az

Mate I have a 2001 ST (same vehicle really) ... but I'm not sure on the towing capacity.
Your best bet is to ask on www.pcoa.org.au. Heaps of pathfinder owners there.
Good vehicle, in my opinion. Not a really serious off-roader though.

Re: 2000 NISSAN PATHFINDER Ti
my neighbor and myself both have pathfinders great vechile i tox my boat and camper trailer and he tows a 17 foot van great towing vechile pretty of grunt on the highway. my mates have landcruisers (diesel) and i blow them away when towing and the fuel eco isn't bad in my book compared with landcruiser and patrols. i have had mine off road and except for the ground clearance i rate them very good i also have a 4.2 petrol patrol with 4 inch lift kit and its awesome offroad but highway running is shit you can watch the fuel gauge go down sitting at the lights HAHAHA. so its going once i raise my pathfinder.

Re: 2000 NISSAN PATHFINDER Ti
i'll ask my neighbor i know my camper would only be 750kg and the boat would be about the same but it has towed a 1500kg camper before. i think my neighbors van would be about 1.5 tonne maybe more. the only thing i find is going down hills or slopes heavy on brakes but trailer brakes help heaps, someone told me to fit exhaust brakes to my pathfinder to help i got a quote for 300 dollars from a truck supplier i dont think that was fitted somehow .
