[Fat Chilli]

I run IPF Fat Boy globes (awesome) in my headlights and a set of 130w KC daylighters on the bar, as well as some GE (hella) 100w sealed beam aircraft landing lights (very bright) mounted to my windshield hinges.
The KC's are crap when compared to the Lightforce but the IPF Fat Boy globes make up for them.

fat chili,,, keep your eyes open for oxy400's,,, rare but not impossible to find,,,, the only globe that guarentees a minimum of 2000 hrs,, (which means bugger all) but you'll see the difference

i updated to 150/90 in the headlights,,,,,150 in the lightforce on the bar,,, and now run 125's in the rest,,

certainly lights the beach/road,,, but the light is a lot more """cleaner""",, if you know what i mean

cost aint cheap,,,but worth the $

G'day, i run a set of rally 4000 compacts. they are made a bit smaller then the normal rally 4000 and will fit into the bullbar of the new prados. The light output is comparable with the normal rally 4000. i found the cheapest i could buy from was truckline in toowoomba.

choppa - Who makes the oxy400's never heard of them, where do you get them.
The IPF Fat Boy globes are equal to 190w low beam and 150w high beam, yes it seems like I have mixed it up but they are set up to run a lower wattage on high beam to compensate for aux spot lights.
They only draw the equivilant to 80/60w - $150 the set .

I hope you boys have big enough alternators to power up some of those lighting systems!

G'day, i run a set of rally 4000 compacts. they are made a bit smaller then the normal rally 4000 and will fit into the bullbar of the new prados. The light output is comparable with the normal rally 4000. i found the cheapest i could buy from was truckline in toowoomba.

How much did you pay for you Rallye 4000s cost? I walked into an Autopro store and saw them for $284 PER LIGHT!! , The Lightforce 240s are cheap in comparison at $380 a pair.

G'day Choppa, You must have one hell of an alternator to power all that wattage and do you find that you gain and lose a few kph every time you turn the lights from high to low and back again cos that much power would use a few horsepower. I run 500w on the front of my EL wagon when I'm travalling at night and find I lose a noticable amount of accelleration every time I hit high beam while passing a semi or road train as soon as I hit high beam.
Also , has the heat from 150w in the Lightforces' affected the plastic lense at all?

Bushbasher, I had a quick look for the reciept but could not find it but from memory they were about 190 to 200 dollars each. I priced them where i live and thwy were a lot dearer and then got told about truckline in Toowoomba.
