    Hi guys
looking at one at the moment. Are they any good? this one is under 300000ks on the clock no rust/clean. What would be a good price?
    thanks.

    This might help you.
Red book shows one of the few 86 saharas at 5,700-00 to 8,500-00.

Mine is a 1988 auto 12ht turbo paid 8,000 cash from dealer 3years ago 285ooo on clock when bought no rust had been sprayed with lanolin throughout .wasnt to keen on auto now i would,nt have anything else kills it on soft sand . very nice 4x4.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

you can pay anything from 1.500 to 7,000 for one of these it will be due for an engine rebuild within next 200,000k if it hasn't already had one, good that it is rust free, mine is a 1982 hj60 4 speed and I love it its done 430,000 rebuilt engine last year cost me 3200 with a new head new sleeves etc, yours doesn't have sleeves it would require reboring but you should get plenty of use for it. I recomend an auto locker in the front diff this will make it a better 4x4 my manual gets along the soft sand fully loaded in 3rd low range with no trouble I have air lockers in the rear as well which help but the 86 has a limited slip diff in the rear which is a plus if it looks good grab it parts are reasonable and the additional height in the rear with the roof will allow you more head room if you put is a bed with an under draw built into it I would love the higher roof. Does this help?I've had mine 7 years and I just borrowed 5,000 to make improvements to it I got dual batteries their great full length draw under the bed 12volt fridge under the bed the upholsstery on the rear seats has been removed for storage and shelving behind the front seats 8" rims with Falkin land air tryes that get me 70,000k. I hope it had not got the electric windows as they are a pain as u need the power to open and close then this is unpractable when camping. Hope this helps I love my cruiser.
