Triton Tow Rating

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the maximum legal tow capacity of a 1991 V6 4x4 Triton Dualcab? Am I able to tow a 1800kg glass boat legally? The trailer is dual axle with over ride disk brakes.

I sold Misterbitchies back then, I am sure the towing capacity is only 1500kg.

Cheers Geoff, Hayman Reece have a bar rated to 2200kg but does that actually reflect the vehicles towing capacity or just the bars?

on the net it says 2200kg mate

reduced to 1900kg in 1996

I think there is a difference between the auto and manual versions though, the manual is rated pretty low....but Im not sure by how much

my sugestion would be to ring mitsy head office and get the vehicle tow rating straight from the horses mouth.
if you have a tow bar on it already the bar should have a plate that has the rating on it.

then your legal tow capacity at least in QLD is the lesser of the two
eg towbar says 2200 and the vehicle manufacture says 1800.
1800 is your legal towing capicity
