    My Jackeroo, Whats it worth?

    Hi all.

Chasing some oppinnions on how much my 1994 Jackeroo would be worth, im looking at selling it soon and not bothering with RWC or anything, even though it wouldnt be much to get organised.

    1994 Jackeroo XS
216000 km regularly serviced with receipts
    7 seats
New clutch 15 months ago ($1600)
A/C, power and the normal extras.
5 Mag wheels, alloy bull bar and side steps.
    Tow bar etc.
Overall condition inside is pretty good, the seats etc are very good, carpet no stains on anything.

Problems: Faded paint on roof, small dent in left front gaurd about the size of 50 cent peice, and another small dent in the tail gate about the same size. and would maybe need 2 new rear tyres.

I was thinking $7500 ONO as is takeaway, but was wondering on your thoughts?

    Cheers

    Dan

A slab of Visitors Beer and a packet of rollies.

    Its a great offer.

    Hey Dan....

Man, that REDBOOK is soo out of touch its not funny..

I don't know of any dealer that takes it seriously,
and I've been dealing with them for over 20 yrs.

That model Jackeroo is a very under-rated vehicle...

If you're going to sell it with rego, you will need a safety
    certificate.

I think you will get your $7500 easier with one.

Check out some caryards that sell forbys,
    you may be surprised..

    Hi Dan

Started with a Diahatsu. Everywhere at 7000rpm.

Then the 76 Cruiser ute. Everywhere at 1500rpm.

    Missus and kids came along.

92 Jackeroo. Slow, Low, Thirsty, and got bogged at the Birkdale dump.
    First bloody time .
Sold it 3 months later for a profit.

    Now.. 2000 Triton since 2000. Dual cab.V6..Thirsty,,yes.
But...Never bogged. Cunnamulla to Rules beach and all the islands in between. Love it.

    Dan your dreaming

looked on the net last week and saw several cruisers and patrols for $8-9k 1990+ models. Better performance and better aftermarket gear make you vehicle obsolete by 20 years. $3-4k at best.

I thought Isuzu 90's models engines were alot better then the same era nissans by a long way.. 90's patrols are renowned for being rust buckets...

    Everyones entitled to their oppinnions..

I also agree they are underated. The Isuzu Trooper is a highly regarded SUV over in the states.

Mines a 2002 model & pulls the Cruise Craft no probs. A couple of trips to Fraser & also down on the NSW north coast on the beach. A Great car. At the time of buying was about 10k cheaper than the Mitsubishi & Toyota competitors.

I looked at the 2005 Toyota Prado last year, very disappointed with the interior. Reminded me of a car from the 80's.

Re: My Jackeroo, Whats it worth?

Jackeroo's are the most underrated car on the planet. Mines never been bogged, including trips where i've towed out 2 patrol utes that just couldn't not get stuck. My jacks lifted 40 mm and runs at's. Their lsd works remarkebly well, and the 3.2 petrol v6 screams above 3500.Thirsty yes slow no. i'd like to see any other 4wd from that era doing 12.5 seconds 0-100.There rev limiter doesnt kick in untill 6750 and theey go cleanly to it. On the beach you couldnt get one bogged if you were capable of putting your foot on the accelerator. I never even bother letting tyres down from 40 psi to just go up double island and it will take off from stop up the beach thru the soft stuff in low range. I think anyone who has owned one regards them highly, i'm continually amazing drivers of other "great" offroad vehicles, theres nothing more satisfying then towing out a 50 year old in his patrol or landcruiser when i'm 18. Oh what a feeling.
