gday guys

i went for a bit of a fish today to revisit the deepsea bottom bashing grounds in 300fathoms. although the fishing was slow we ended up with a couple got a 75lb and a 40lb hapuka and a 25ld blue eyed trevella. we use electric reels to save our arms from the 600mtr wind up and 130lb braid with mullet fillets for bait. atleast the weather was good

mate unfortunately these reels are very expensive around 3000 dollars just for the reel! and as you could imagion 1000 metres of braid also isnt cheap.

yeah the dog is finally home, marky had a ball up there we bought the boat home two weeks ago. the reels we were using were tony's robbie was also out in his boat giving them a go. i visited tony this morning and inspected the new"andiamo" which is at his house and man it is one hell of a boat unbelievable!

mullet fillet does the trick although the last time we were out we caught alot of fish on dead yakkas but i dont think it really matters, funnily enough we tried live baits out there last time and everytime the dead baits around them would get eaten and not the livies, got me buggered. suprisingly there is never anything in there stomach i think they might cough it all up during the 20 minute fight to the surface.
