Steven, yes there was a fare bit of the shakes happening when we first saw it. All I was thinking of posts on the site over the last week of large catfish caught around mud. As I have never caught a snapper in shallows before I was quite amazed at the fishes first 2 runs which had me calling it for more of a pelagic fish than a snapper. I was so happy to be wrong.
Great effort. I had a similar experience a month ago so know how exciting it is. Mine was also on a 4" powerbait. But different location at the Island. I am starting to think that they are in most of the locations we would normally baitfish, but we miss them on bait because they are just not interested in something dead. Certainly interested in giving giving them a bigger go on plastics.
