Bigger fish were lost, these anglers were not experienced in this type of fishing.
It does cop a flogging but continues to produce fish.
They do take soft plastics, all manner of lures and livies.
Often the bigger fish are taken deeper on livies.
I've found if you drift past with a pillie on the move it will often get a hit when a stationary or sinking bait wont.
For those that haven't caught them - they fight hard and taste great.
They love any floating structure - I've had them thick under a floating cardboard box - don't pass up anything you see floating in the water.
Slow troll a pillie with a small nose sinker past it - just in case.
FADs are firing for them now as well.
Wahoo are on Hutchies in good numbers now as well - that's where I'd be heading.
