    Western Rocks 10/12

The plan was wahoo chasing off Hutchies. Left Scarborough at 3am and across the bay in sloppy conditions. Stopped at M2 and got a couple of macks on pillies, one dropped one at the boat. Ventured outside the Cape and it was very uncomfortable so decided to come back into Western Rocks. Anchored up and started the berley going. Caught two cobes biggest 9kegs and some more Macks. Wind dropped off so back out the front again. Drifted the 25 metre area with no hits. Weather just got better and better. Out to the 'Bulldog' and shared the drift with a pro fisherman. Current was too quick for us and only managed a small pearlie before heading back home. Never did get to Hutchies that day. Heaps of bait everywhere and Game Boats trolling the blue stuff.
