average size of the mahi mahi. the bigger ones we have caught lately seam to be lone strays in the middle of no where.
We had 4 clients out on the new "Inside Edge" (6.5m kelva cat) yesterday. hit the banks to find the #current going into the wind but the parrot were well and truely on the chew. we could have caught them all day but decided that 10 nice ones was plenty, along with a 4-4.5kg snapper. Lost a few really good fish. #
Then moved to the FAD for a look. Not alot of Mahi Mahi in residence and the ones that were there were only a couple of kilos. Still plenty of air time though
Put the marlin gear out for a few hours in the arvo but like the story has been lately...we didnt get a bite >
Great weather, a few fish and a good time was had by all.

Sounds like a great day Jeffo. How long have you been working on Outside Edge?

It was a beaut day for it Jeffo. We went out ourselves and found hundreds of small mahi mahi around a couple of old fish floats...tried just about everything, trolled skirts, casting slugs, slow and fast retrives but they weren't interested in any of our offerings. Ah, you get days like that, but it was still nice to be on the water. When will the big boat be back in action?
Cheers
