Mast Head / Curtis lsland Prawns 4/5 Dec 05

Sunday arvo we were sitting around pretty bored so we decided to put the boat in and go for a fish.

Well after a 5 hour push through some pretty sloppy water we finally arrived at Mast Head. The wind did not stop blowing the whole time. However, the fish were still on the bite we did not get anything special however we did get stripes, lipper, trout and a couple of parot amongest about 70 million undersize cod. we fished for about 3 hours and then spent the next 3 hours plouging back into the chop as the wind had changed yet again. (next trip i assure you we will wait for less wind.)

on the tuesday we decided to hit curtis island again to see if the prawns were on due to getting a few kilos the week before. We managed to pick up about 9 kg then 8 kg the next day. however back to roz's story we had pots in round the island which were run bait removed etc. However the 2 lads who pro that area are different to say the least, so we decided to push them up a bit towards ambose and low and behold we managed 17 size bucks over 2 days.

Over all we had a great trip and enjoyed the time away back up there on the 20th will let you know how it goes.
