Thought id put this post up. The old man and one of his former students who is in his thirties with a couple of other blokes went out to the warregoes for a few days fishing for reefies Boat was a (35 footer) Scott has a commercial ticket.
landed a nice sized red couple a decent cod and many smaller quality reef fish.
Warregoes is NE of bundy about 35 to 40mn out. The boat the old man was fishing on is a commercial boat and none of the catch is taken home. sold to the fish market unfortunatley for The old man and the skipper. The old man just likes getting out on the water and catching fish, hand lines were used to bag most of the reef fish including the big red. They did some fishing of the continental shelf as well in glass calm conditions, but did better in the shallows.
I bet they would of tasted nice for dinner [smiley=chef.gif]
