Night Fishing Iluka

Last few nights have been spent at the 'secret spot' lol fishing with livebait, target has been a jewie (first) but have only come home with Tailor. Last night I had 7 baits smashed and a few good runs, had one Tailor give a 5 minute fight and when i got it in close i said to katrina maybe should use the gaff... then changed my mind and gave it a lift; 12ft rod bent over to the breaking point, only just managed to lift the large greenback out of the water a meter when the 60lb Black magic line gave way to his razor teeth, landing him on a ledge where the glazed over sea was gently washing up to, at first i thought he was gone to stay put... as i reached for the gaff... with a flip he was gone.... Thats the trouble when fishing in such conditions.
Came home with two decent tailor.
maybe tonight the elusive jewie will come around.

Good work mate, the choppers are alway a good fall back when the jew fail to show. Try the other side of the wall a little further out.
