Fish and spanners off mooloolaba

Went for a fish early sat morning on sempre,planned to fish the hard but after two hours of pounding we changed our plans and headed for the northern barwons.Dropped the spanner crab nets on the way out.
The fishing was slow for us,we had to work hard but managed to get a feed of snapper,pearlies,aj and sweetlip.Left the banks about midday with squally conditons on us.Retrieved the spanner crab nets and had us 20 spanner crabs for a good by catch and a good end to the session.

G'day brown dog i was wondering how u go about catching the spanners what depth what sort of pots ect and also legal size and how to measure them

indy the spanner crabs can be caught just about anywhere on sand off mooloolaba,we crab in about 180 ft of water with flat nets with 6 on a line on the bottom, with one main line to the top.The legal size is 10 cm
from top to bottom. browndog

So, if your in 50 oidd metres of water, how long is your main line?HOw do you set 6 pots on 1 main line? (Forgive my n00bish questions hehehe)

You pull 6 up at a time with 20 crabs. Now I know why you take Ragan
Sam drive, you pick the spot, and Ragan pulls .
