    Southport Spanish

    Went out with Blue_Rogue and his brother yesterday hunting some spanish mackerel off southport. Headed through the seaway round 4am, and put some hex heads in the water. Pretty quiet, then just south of couran cove .. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz off goes the tld. After a relativlyl short fight, a good spanish around 12kg comes aboard. Pretty quiet for the rest of the morning, one other hit that decided 60pd wire was not enough and bit through it

    Thanks for the trip boys... next time we'll get that steam train.

    Unlucky not to get 2 of the big muthers by the sound of it.

    Only ever takes one good fish to turn a crap trip into a great trip .

    Keep those kind of reports up of Spaniards on the loose and I'll be down to troll there as well

    Thanks Jas, for posting the report. The photo really came out well.

    We went out again Saturday though no luck. The conditions were not half as good.

    The spanish tasted brilliant.
