Apollo Bay Charter Trip
Went on a charter out of Apollo Bay Yesterday.
The boat "Moonlight" was built by the skipper,Max Robbins.
50 ft. Alum .she cruises at 28knots.
Out of the harbour and the sea was perfect, about half to one metre swell and no chop.
Cruised for half an hour to get to fishing grounds off Cape Otway.
First drift was fairly quiet.
Then Max tried a bit further out and put out a sea ancher to slow the drift.
18 people fishing and soon everyone was getting some action.
Species caught were flathead,Barracouta, snapper ,plus a lot of Spur Dog sharks
All too soon the time came to head for Apollo Bay,we arrived back at 6.35pm.
A bit of a change from having one's own boat, but a very pleasureable
way to spend an afternoon.

Hi Wild-Thing
Agree with that.
Skipper makes sure that everyone has a great time.
And at $80 it is cheaper than owning one's own boat
Cheers

best thing of all after a great day on charter, you can walk away without worrying about having to scrub the boat and clean your tackle
