TROUT BASHING

just thought id post some photos of the trout caught at southern gutters on sunday. after trying all day we were lucky to come home with these caught late arvo.

the southern gutters are north from hervey bay about 1-1/2 hours steaming . if you drew a line from the top of fraser is straight across to mainland it it slightly north of that line. it is a large fishing ground and supports fish like snapper, trout, sweeties, red emp, ect

I went out to Bramble reef on Sunday and struggled to get a few trout. A mate who has done a bit of pro trout fishing reckons this time of year is slow because of warm waters, and deeper hangs are the go to get to colder water. The surface water was 31 degrees on Sunday.
