    hutchies backfire

well, the plan was to hit up some of our marks out
off hutchies this morning.............. well we crossed the
bay very early this morning and a stiff sou easter was showing
it's true colours. had a sniff around this side of the cape for some
cobia but no such luck. headed out to hutchies area and searched
high and low for anything with scales by this time the sou easter was
well and trully up and made things uncomfortable. made a big call to head
to some other marks and found my old mate snappa on the chew. got some snappa
for the box and a few perlies for colour. we picked up a dollie as well for good
value. all in all a good day and beats swingin the hammer.
    only a couple pics today.
    regards dale

Can't complain with that effort Dale. You put together a nice feed and it beats the hundreds of striped tuna off the gold coast today . Still, with hopping aboard a trawler and getting some bugs, prawns and gps marks....the day wasn't all bad for me.

Dale, The foreman said you were thinking about a trip today, but I really thought the weather would have kept you away. Well done for braving the conditions and putting a good feed together.

Nice feed Dale. Worth getting up at sparrow for that lot...did you happen to pick up the dollie on the troll or on the float? Good to see there's still a few around.

Nice effort Dale, looks like she was whistling out there by the white horses...Kinda gets to the stage of "stuff it we're going" thinking we'll head out next tuesday...could be a window.

    thanks for the encouragement

    cheers

rhys, was worth it in the end but the weather
just made it very uncomfortable. fixed my addiction
up for a little while anyway.

paul, he came up the berly trail and nailed a bit of pilli.

mark, gotta love the new foreman, but i think he's eating
    pearl perch for tea tonight

rob, the poor bugga was gut hooked and didnt seem to want to
    turn it as much ??

    jay, cant complain about that

forgot to mention, we have a mark where we usually find perlies
at, do a drift to find them and then anchor up on them.
this time we found them and then evertime we got a look at one
they would shift 200m away. not sure if this is common but
never had to keep chasing them before
