    Hi Paul,

Yes, mine is a VC, and I have taken a vedette for a run as well, must say it is hard to beat the Seafarers.

    thank you.

    Hi Roz,

That damned wind, what can I say. I am an Alvey convert for maks as well. Give me a 725C and a 16-24kg stick anyday. Great photos as well. Lucky for the fish you couldn't get out most days I'd say. Cheers

    Hey Muzz,

Sounds like you are a Seafarer convert too!

    Lone_Wolf,

I can't take too much credit, just about anybody could pick up a mackeral or three at Bustard when they are around.

    Well done Roz
Now we all know you can catch macks and trevors BUT did you manage to nail the crab thief at 1770? That's what we're all dying to know
Nice pics and report, let's hope the weather is good for the M&G. Get any longtoms or morays this trip? lol

    Hey Roz,

I couldn't be prouder of my vermont (5.25), March last year I had all the timbers & transom replaced, new floor & sides, added a heap more weight. 6 months ago she got a new Merc115 as well as a trailer conversion so she can drive on. (can tell I've got no missus)
After all that she's like a big heavy spear on the water, handles REALLY well, even in big sea, wouldn't trade her for anything.
The VCs are also great boats, am yet to get a ride in a Vedette but I'm told the are very good mannered.

    Muzz,

I would love a Viking, which is a larger version of my VC, don't care that they are an old style of boat, they are fantastic for their size.

And..... you have discovered one of the few down sides of Seafarers, rotting transoms. Had mine done a few years ago, sadly I think it was a dodgey job and may need looking at again, also the well for the fuel tank may need to be checked out.

Might have to bite the bullet and get the lot done.

Still worth the trouble and expense.

    Hi Roz,
MIne cost 3k for the whole job, with all but the stringers replaced.
    Well worth the money.

Your camera hasn't got a very good flash Muzz?

If I go and post a pic of my VC, we might get transferred to Boating Chat.

me thinks the trevally is here !

Even having a look at the DPI site, it appears it is a Giant Trevally, otherwise known as a Lowly Trevally, and commonly called Tea-leaf trevally............or called Bruce

    Cheers Phill

BTW, don't ask roz to show you her collection of pics of her VC............
