    Re: 1770 meet and greet

It was great having your company Dale & Bill, you are welcome back at any time and maybe later in the year we won't have to deal with such windy weather.

You guys certainly set the standard with some of those red fish... just wait till you see my pics of your fish.

    Cheers Roz

    Re: 1770 meet and greet

    Thanks for that Brian

Yes well, what can I say, either the tree moved or the Nissan. The tree was much bigger than the Nissan so I guess it won. I hope to have the 4by back by end of this week. ( I don't have pics, but someone has )

Things did not go as planned for this M & G. We could start with the wind, but jeez, we all know about that and what it does to the offshore scene.

A few little things went astray like leaving the GPS and boat keys at home Who was that ?

Holed the fuel tank in Skanky Hoe.............bugga ! That in turn lead to the Nissan / Tree altercation. While at the same time back at Agnes, the Cruiser was going no-where.

A trip up Middle Creek started with an outboard that would just not start and ended up with one boat having limited tackle, clothes, sunscreen, food etc, but " having said that " , that boat produced the goods, fish wise.........OH and a good case of sunburn !

We also managed to leave a reef anchor on the bottom offshore and reduced my one piece landing net to a two piece !

Apart from the little ' inconviences " I believe a good time was had by all. There were the good things of course. Narni Cake, CMC, Calamari, Banana Curry Flathead, VB, Pizza, mozzies, sandflies........ya gotta love Agnes / 1770.

Great accomodation again, thanks Roz, good food, good company and a good deal of " exploratory " trips.

Tony, Josh, Dale, Herby , Roz, Peter, John and I went to Awonga Dam, to get out of the wind and hopefully put a Barra on the score card. Given the circumstances ( novice barra hopefulls ) we did well. I will let Roz pick it up from here, as she has the pics that turn a story into fact.

Was good to meet Brian, John, Bill and Herby, as well as the regular crew of Peter, Roz, Tony, Josh, Sandi and Dale. Also thanks to me Hervey Bay mate Andy for the use of his vehicle while the two 4by's were out of acion.

Now that we have the bad luck out the way, all looks good for the
    " AUSFISH OCTOBER ANNUAL AGNES WATER / 1770 M&G " see details in " Going Fishing ".

Can't wait to se the pics Roz.

    Cheers Phill
