    Hutchoo

The weather was just too good Friday and after a real late I took Ymer out friday for a run with the idea of puting down a trail of the secret berley and floating some baits for a few snapper. Well as usual the best laid plans went out the window with a couple of high speed lures deployed as I ran over hutchies. It wasn't long before all hell broke loose with double and triple hook ups the norm on wahoo. The only downside was the high lure loss as other fish hit the swivels, the dacron on the wind ons, anything that moved. All the crew caught their first wahoo so were pretty happy.

Well done Steve, been chasing a few of those done this way, but not much luck yet, obviously still up your way. Was one of them caught in the dark?
Its a great sound when multi whoo hit the spread. If someone could use that sound on an alarm clock no fisherman would ever be late again!

    Re: Hutchoo

Well done Brooksy, tossed the coin friday morning whether to troll hutchies or look for spanos on the coffee rock in front of moreton. Never saw a bait fish school for ten mile and gave up and went deep. Filthy the coin toss was heads. Great hoo mate!

    Re: Hutchoo

No wonder it took me an hour to clean the dried blood off the back deck on Sunday afternoon looking at that second pic !!!

Following Brooksy's advice we were out in Ymer again on Saturday and laid a spread across Hutchies. The mac tuna were so thick you couldn't get through them. All good size around 5-6kg and hitting anything that moved. Hexheads, pushers, blue pillies - anything. Had two Hoo hits for two bite offs.

We let the girls take the rods and Chriso's Adel landed her first, second, third, fourth and fifth fish. Leanne got a heap as well. I think about 14 tuna in a couple of hours with only 1 yellowfin kept for sushimi.

    Seems Brooksy fished them out
