    trouts on the menu

Well, with some superb weather about and mum and the kids wanting to get out for a fish I felt it was my duty to hit the water and burn up some fuel. We left Boyne just after low tide and churned our way through the mouth giving the prop a good polish. once through it was off to spot x, the conditions were great so after an hour of steaming we arrived, I was determined to put mum on some decent fish, the action started off with plague proportions of hussar which was exciting for the family but it was not what I wanted, as high tide approached the trout decided to have a feeding frenzy, the next 20minutes saw 5 good trout in the boat and plenty of smiles.
Haveing achieved that goal we decided to head over to Masthead Is and have lunch and a swim before heading home.[img][/img]

Cindy looks happy! Sam Dunstan started back at work today. We were only talking about you and the rest of the South Burnett living at Tannum at lunch time.

Nice report and nice fish. Seems like you got some very nice weather.

You must have thought twice about trying to get out the Boyne channel at low tide with such a nice looking boat and motor. Pity nothing still hasn't been done to deepen the channel.

Whats the secret bait for great looking trout like that?
