An article in todays Herald-Sun which is a teaser for the main report in todays Weekly Times says "Portland fishermen say they are astonished at the size of the fish ,which are luring anglers from as far away as north Queensland" Hi Foxy ,Did you run out of bait. "It is reported that there has been between 50 + 100 boats in the water at any one time,all "chasing the big one"" Our local angler caught his 102KG fish on 80 lb line. People are bringing Marlin gear from Melbourne as 24KG cannot hold the bigger fish. Regards Seabug
My brother said his mate went down and connected to 10 fish with 6 being boated. Biggest was 137 kg. He was not giving up any more information easily, other than to say that a return trip yielded only 1 x fish Angla
