Does anyone fish Tempest anymore????

I've been follow this page lately and hear alot of talk about the Banks and Caloundra just wanted to know if people fish Shallow or Deep Tempest, Flat Rock or any of the reefs of Mort./Staddie anymore?

If so how are they going as am unable to fish regularly anymore?

So many Brisso Fisho's seem to be heading Nth & Sth.

That's because there are better hunting grounds elsewhere, I fish Double Is area because I can get fish there, the grounds off Brisvegas don't produce enough reward for effort.

I have fished tempest a few times of late. so have a lot of other people it seems ; Lots of boats out there. fishing out there is ok! with the fish being the norm caught there . Always manage a feed , but have heard of people returning home with not a scale to show for their effort. Seems to me people fish nth sth more so now due to a big decline of fish on local reefs. maybe it will improve over the coming years if people fish elsewhere ?

Tempest still fishes allright. Went out on Tom Cat for a work do and got squire and a few pearlies late last year. Have been fishing around tempest on mates boat about once a month for last three months for snapper to 5-6kg and pearlies to 4kg. Last weekend we got nothing with flat seas but plenty of current. Plenty of fish schooling up about 30mtrs to 50 mtrs off bottom but not feeding.

Well you cant really fish flat anymore becuase of the grey nurse thing (i think 1.2k away)... you can fish the sevens. But I do no of poeple getting good numbers and fish off places off straddie and moreton but if everyone told poeple where there getting there esky full then your spot is going to be a car park in no time.
