Met the rest of the crew at the shell servo at Nudgee at midnight friday night(Skippa,Brejen,Gawby,Crestcutter and Maztez)
Also met Cragie there who was heading in the same direction.Nice to met you mate
Ran into JB at the ramp. Was starting to look like an unplanned AF M&G
From here it was off to Mooloolabah to launch the boats and do the 1.5 hour drive out to the banks. With this being only my second offshore trip in my boat i didn't know what to expect on the trip out in the dark
The fishing was slow during the early hours with mostly small squire being landed by myself and my deckie Chris. We moved around a bit throughout the morning trying to find some decent fish without to much luck. The call was put in to head out wider and try our luck.
What a move this turned out to be. .Found the Snapper and Pearlies on the chew and i made the most of it.One of the best days fishing i have had.
Best bait for the day was strips of mac tuna
Set myself a couple of PB's so things can only get better.
Snapper 72 cm 5kg
Pearly 52cm 3kg
A big thanks to the weather Gods that played ball this weekend
Cheers Dazza
