Ok... day 1 of the comp - first report.
I'm sitting on the beach at Waddy Point - weather has been reasonable although not comfortable for the offshore boaties.
Looking better for the next few days.
Tracks are excllent - a few days of rain before the comp settled the sand perfectly.
So far I've seen a 12.2kg jew come off the beach - was caught at 11am today.
There were about half a dozen jew weighed in off the beach at the first weigh in of the comp - more than I've seen off the beach in years.
Cedric Byrne has the tailor at 3.2kg - there were quite a few tailor between 2.9 and 3kg weighed in this morning.
It's about 3pm so no offshore weigh in as yet.
I did catch up with Bush N' Beach's Greg Lampret and crew - they had a nice red that weighed 10.1kg but they were not going to weigh it in because it was caught before midnight... the start of the comp.

I'll try and do regular updates as time and battery power allows.
Cheers
