    off shore gold coast

    Hello ,

    Went out in charter boat from gold coast earlier today half a day trip,6.00 am too 11.00 am had a sea sickness tablet about 5.45am just in case turned out that i or whoever was out there that morning would'nt have needed it. conditions were superb i have only been off shore a couple of times but this one was the top shelf as far as the fishing was concerned things were pretty quiet really two boats went out the GONE FISHING which are pretty damn good in my books the boat i was on got i guess 20 odd tailor biggest one too about 800gms,about a dozen trag and two snapper/squire,ok i guess but for the other boat i knew i should have went with this boat they got about 30 odd tailor about this same in trag but..... they got three snapper,one mack tuna and one yellowfin so overall it was a pretty good day

    G/ day Mark good to see you had a good day on the charter, but i would be expecting a little more for my money than dirty old choppers we spent most of the day working the 36 faths ne of the seaway for only a few squirey snapper and some trevs (Very Quite ) had a small whale come up to have a look at the boat You must of been in close, coz we had a bumpy day with 15 knt chop all day !

    Yeah i think we were about mile off at the furtherest was about 10 mile i think the skipper said not too sure what excatly fathoms that is but is was beautiful there anyway yeah we saw heaps of whales too but prolly not that close,

    Ray it was a lot less breeze on the 36's East of the Seaway.
    We had a huge cargo ship come by that gave a bit of swell though, he had to change direction to not spoil our fishing
    First time out in ages when I didn't see a single whale though.
