Some reefies and a REMORA ?

    HI all

Monday ended up being a pretty full day, got up at 5 and hit the Tweed River to do some exploring. Fished the upper reaches for most of the morning until I got a call from my mate to head outside for the aavo. So after a pretty good mornings Bream fishing I raced back home to off load the tinnie and grab some heavy gear. Met Jurgen at the boat ramp and after jigging some livies we headed to the northern side of 9 mile. We were straight into fish with both of us getting blown away in the shallow water by big fish. Jurgen landed a fair size squire/ snapper at around 3 kg and I got a nice Spangled emperor(I think). We also got a few more Squire before the bite died completely just after dark I hooked something that felt pretty wierd and only when it popped up next to the boat did I see what it was. A pretty big Remora . It must have come off one of the whales that were swimming around the boat. We were back at the ramp by 8 and on the couch with a Bundy in hand and a big Grin by 9.The weather has turned foul down here now so doesnt look like a mid week session is on the cards.
    Good Fishing to you all

    Cheers Rod
