Nice mate! Sounds like you had a top day!
If ya ever need to make it "Fully Tanked" let me know
Well after the debarkle a few weeks back "Half Tanked" hit the water @ 1230 on Sunday and flew out to the Hards in around 90 minutes. What a day. Bugger all chop with a slow rolling swell up to 2 metres.
It was also the maiden voyage for the new Furuno 620 and what a machine it is. So much better than the Lowrance X51 in deep water.
After a slow start with wind against current (around 2.5 knots of it) it was difficult to anchor and stay on spot X.
First to hit the deck were 4 good sized Pearlies and that was it for around one hour.
As soon as the sun dropped it was "Bight Time" with eight Snapper jumping in to say G'Day.
The size of the fish on this occasion was nothing to write home about with the largest Snapper nudging the 3.5 - 4 kg mark and the average size of around the 50 cm mark.
The next trip will be planned a bit better and after a big blow as I believe the area has copped a hiding given the near perfect conditions.
I landed my first ever MILF of around 5kg and quickly released it.
Final count was 8 Snapper and 5 Pealies.
Hammered home in almost glassed out conditions in an hour and a quarter averaging speeds of around 55 - 60 km/hr.
Back at the ramp at 2030 with the boat locked in the shed at 2230.
Until next time
Madman signing off.

Sounds like a pretty good result Madman. I was surprised by the amount of current running for this time of year.
Cheers,
Mark

Dust off those pakulas and rapalas
Now if I just had a boat
Hey Greg, I'm already dreaming of the first little Black for the season and then the second, and the third ........

Plan is to take the Mrs to the boat show to see all those expensive glass boats and then compromise
