What is this fish?

Hi guys I caught this fish on the weekend and I was wondering what it is. I think it is some kind of wrasse, is this true?

think its a jewelled wrasse where did you got it . would look good in a tank

I caught at Barwon Banks in 35 to 40m of water it measures 37cm long

Yep, the Grant's guide agrees, Jewelled Wrasse.

The info I found on jewelled wrasse says it only grows to 17cm were as this fish measures 37cm.Muzzd does the Grants guide say how big the jewelled wrasse can grow to? Thanks Ken

I have had to go back & compare photos & after a stripe count I have to concede, I think I got it wrong.
With a stripe count between 17 & 19 stripes & growing to a length of 550mm, it probably is a ringed wrasse.
Jewelled wrasse has at least 20 stripes & grows to 350mm.
