Headed out from mooloolaba this morning about 10am. Turned the boat SE to a spot i had heard about before but only recently got the mark for it.
Well, it was on for young and old when we got there with pretty much every drift producing at least one solid hook-up. We were mostly using whole squid on three gangs and size 8 ball sinkers. There were tangles and lines going everywhere and we lost as many as we caught but with so many fish around it didnt matter.
The only other species caught was one average sized tailor, which was quickly turned into live bait while my mate wasnt looking and ended up catching the biggest cobe of the day (15kg). We ended up keeping 9 for the table and called it a day at about 2:30pm.
