    Noosa bluefin

Headed out saturday morning and crossed the bar around 7.30, with my mate in another boat. Headed to a few spots to throw out some floaters without even a nibble. The NE started to kick in around 10 so went in closer to jig up some livies for one last desperate attempt to get something. Motored to a little patch of reef and floated a small yakka out under a balloon. After only a few minutes, the TLD screamed off and i started to let something big go for a run. 15 minutes later and a nervous solo gaff shot and my pb 18kg longtail was in the boat. Couldnt get the grin off my face!

Mate took the photos from his boat with a quality camera and lense. Fishing heavy line of around 50lb i think and set the yakka around 2m under the balloon, hope thats helpful.
