Left Shorncliffe just after 4 and it looked like we were in for a bumpy trip over. As soon as we got outside the creek the chop hit which meant quite a slow trip over to Curtain. Arrived on sunset and anchored up, conditions must have been bad as there was only 1 other boat over there. Fished the whole night with only a few bites around the change of each tide, probably a lot to do with how much the current was running through there.

Got a couple of squire all around the 30cm mark (bugger), a flounder (I think - also went back) and the largest catfish I have ever seen. I assume it was a catfish but was about 80cm long and gave a really good fight. Again wasn't entirely sure so it went back as well. Should have taken some photos as I would have liked to know what it was and whether it is any good eating.Left curtain around 9 in the mornign and trolled for awhile but no luck there either. At least it had flattened out by then and was a great run home.

All in all not a good night's fish but great to be out on the water with a few mates and good to post a report that isn't about the boat breaking down. Although we did have battery problems (my fault in having the isolator switches the wrong way around) and noticed today when bringing it back out of the water have lost hydraulic pressure in the trim on starboard engine. Hopefully only low on fluid.

Cheers
